"Newbie Guide" Ubox Web Registration and Wallet Binding Process

  1. Ubox Account Registration
  • Open Ubox's official website at "ubox.io" and click on the registration page. Fill in your prepared email address and slide the security verification to obtain the email verification code. (If you don't receive the verification code in your inbox, please check your spam folder.)
  • After reading the relevant agreements, click on "I have read and agreed to Ubox's User Agreement and Privacy Agreement."
  • Proceed to the password setup page, set your account password, and click "Next" to complete the registration process.

  1. Web3 Wallet Registration and Download
  • Click on the "My Wallet" section in the user profile to access the wallet binding page.
  • Click on "Wallet Association."

  • Ubox currently supports two blockchain networks: Ethereum and Polygon.
  • For Web3 wallets that support both Ethereum and Polygon, you can use wallets like MetaMask or Imtoken. In this example, we'll guide you through the wallet registration process using MetaMask.
  • Please note that some browsers might not support extension installations ("Oh no! This browser isn't supported today."). Before installing the MetaMask wallet plugin for the Web version, you should install a browser compatible with MetaMask based on your needs. Compatible browsers include Chrome, Firefox, Brave, Edge, Opera, and others.
  • Using Google Chrome as an example, click on "Download Chrome" on the MetaMask website at https://metamask.io/. Once the browser automatically identifies your system, it will provide the appropriate version of the installation package. Choose the corresponding version and proceed with the installation.
  • Open the Chrome browser and go to the MetaMask official website at https://metamask.io/. As shown in the image below, click on "Download for." Click on "Add to Chrome," and on the confirmation page, click "Add to Chrome" to install the MetaMask wallet extension on your Chrome browser.

  • "MetaMask Wallet" is a browser extension and mobile application, and it's one of the most popular Web3 wallets. It's also one of the earliest wallets in the industry.

  • After clicking "Create Wallet," follow the instructions and prompts to set up your new wallet password and confirm it.
  • For Web3 newcomers, you can watch an introductory video and then click "Secure my wallet."
  • The next step is the crucial backup mnemonic process. A mnemonic phrase is generally composed of a list of words (usually 12-24 words). When you first create an encrypted wallet, you can view your mnemonic phrase and back it up in a secure location. Ideally, you should create backups in multiple places. If you forget your password or can't access your wallet, this mnemonic phrase will be crucial for password recovery. Mnemonic phrases are also referred to as "backup phrases" or "recovery seeds." Do not store your mnemonic phrase in online cloud storage services or share it with anyone.

Note: Anyone who knows your wallet's mnemonic phrase can gain complete control over your wallet. It's absolutely essential to store it in a secure place in the physical world. Every wallet you connect to Ubox in the future will be your private account, so please be vigilant. Ubox is not a wallet provider; therefore, we never possess your assets. This also means that we cannot provide wallet password resets. If you need to reset your wallet password, you will need to directly contact your wallet provider or search for relevant help guides for MetaMask. Thank you for your attention and support!

  • Input the backup mnemonic phrase by matching the words with their corresponding positions on the word list. This will verify the successful registration of your encrypted wallet.

 

At this point, your wallet registration is complete.

  1. Wallet Binding
  • After successfully registering your wallet, return to the Ubox page and refresh the webpage.
  • Click on "Associate Wallet." The Google verification code is an optional choice; you can decide whether you want to proceed with the binding (you can also perform binding and unbinding in the "My Security Center").
  • After clicking "Confirm," proceed by clicking on MetaMask to launch your encrypted wallet.
  • Click "Next" - "Connect" - "Approve" - "Sign."
  • It's recommended to switch to the Polygon network, as compared to Ethereum, the gas fees on the Polygon chain are lower.

Note: For wallets on the Ethereum network, you need to prepare USDT to purchase NFTs on Ubox, as well as ETH for gas fees.

  • Next will be the security verification step. For the safety of your account, you need to verify the email verification code associated with your registered Ubox account.
  • At this point, your Ubox account has been successfully linked to your encrypted wallet.

As shown in the image below, click on the chat box to contact customer support. Provide detailed explanations of your issue and attach screenshots if possible.
